CIA FIRST International School Contributes USD 10,000 to Support Teachers and Students in Post-Conflict Border Recovery

PHNOM PENH – In support of national recovery efforts following the recent Cambodia–Thailand border conflict, CIA FIRST International School contributed USD 10,000 through the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) today. The contribution is aimed at assisting teachers, education staff, and students who were displaced and affected during the conflict and are now rebuilding their lives and returning to stability.

The official handover ceremony took place at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, presided over by H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport. CIA FIRST International School was represented by H.E. Oknha Dr. Trang Ly, Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Him Samath Sprung, Vice Chairman and members of the school’s senior management team.

Speaking at the ceremony, H.E. Oknha Dr. Trang Ly, Chairman of the Board of CIA FIRST International School, emphasised the school’s sustained commitment to supporting affected communities:

"Beyond this financial contribution of USD 10,000 from our school fund, CIA FIRST has consistently mobilised support throughout the period of uncertainty—collecting and delivering donations in kind, food supplies, and essential items directly to border areas. As an education institution, we believe it is our responsibility to stand with our teachers, students, and communities, not only in times of crisis but also during recovery and rebuilding."

In response, H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron expressed his sincere appreciation to the leadership, staff, and school community of CIA FIRST International School for their continued solidarity and meaningful contributions in support of educators and citizens affected by the border situation.

As Cambodia moves forward from this challenging chapter, CIA FIRST International School reaffirms its commitment to education as a pillar of recovery, resilience, and national development, standing alongside the Royal Government and education community in rebuilding stronger and more stable learning environments for all.
