International and Khmer Curriculum

Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and MoEYS with an emphasis on global competencies, life-long learning skills, and international standards. The CIA FIRST international high school diploma is equivalent to the National Grade 12 Khmer curriculum diploma, while WASC, one of the four regional accrediting bodies in The United States, officially recognizes it as equivalent to an American high school diploma.

Program

CIA FIRST offers a WASC-accredited, standards-based curriculum blending Common Core, AERO, and NGSS, emphasizing real-world skills and AP courses for college credit.

Full Time Khmer Program

The FTK program allows students to complete the international curriculum while gaining accredited Khmer education, offering a comprehensive bilingual learning experience.

Full Time Khmer Language
and Culture Program

The FTI plus FTC program offers the international curriculum with added daily Khmer Language and Culture classes, allowing students to learn Khmer while engaging in AP courses and extracurriculars.

Full Time International (FTI)

A WASC-accredited curriculum adopting internationally recognized content standards (Common Core, AERO, and NGSS) and Advanced Placement courses for college credit.

Full Time Khmer (FTK)

A MoEYS-accredited program that adheres to the Khmer national curriculum, which is taken as afternoon electives from 2-5:15 pm after completing required subjects for the FTI program daily.

Full Time Khmer Language and Culture (FTC)

The FTI plus FTC program offers the same international curriculum as FTI with the addition of Khmer Language and Culture courses, which enable FTI students to develop proficiency in the Khmer language while also gaining an appreciation for Khmer cultural identity. The Khmer Language and Culture course is taught 1 hour per day, so students can still take part in our rigorous Advanced Placement (AP) courses, as well as our extracurricular activities.
